Fiverr nonprofit freelance outsourcing service

Uses:

  • Outsource any service to freelancers around the world, starting at $5
  • Types of “gigs” include:
    • Graphic design
    • Video creation
    • Blog writing
    • Social media graphics
    • Presentations

Pros:

  • No membership required
  • Can save you money and expand your team virtually. Most of the services, or “gigs,” are very affordable compared to an agency
  • Large selection of gigs, with over three million services listed
  • “Customer is always right” mentality: Fiverr support will usually refund the buyer if they are not satisfied with a service
  • iOS and Android app makes it easy to search for gigs wherever you are

Cons:

  • Quality of results can vary greatly: Don’t expect high-level, professional output for $5
  • Long turnaround times: Because of the high demand for certain services, tasks can sometimes take a week or longer for something that can be done in a few hours (upgrades to faster turnarounds are encouraged)
  • Ratings are skewed as the system often prevents negative feedback
  • Copyrights aren’t as well-respected in many parts of the world, and even by some freelancers here in the U.S. We recommend you double-check ahead of time that the final result will be original work and/or use licensed images, free of copyright infringements. Many non-native English speakers posing as native/U.S. professionals

Pricing:

  • Tasks start at $5, with upgrades that can run into hundreds of dollars
  • Expedited services cost extra
