Uses:

  • Organize your team conversations in open and private channels
  • Send direct messages to colleagues privately and securely (up to 9 people)—can be converted to a private channel

  • Less internal emailing means more productivity—an average of 48.6% reduction in internal email
  • Integrates with a large number of third-party services and supports community-built integrations such as Google Drive and Dropbox
  • Communities, groups, or teams can join through a specific URL or invitation sent by a team admin or owner
  • Fully native apps for iOS and Android lets you communicate from anywhere

Cons:

  • No calendar or task management
  • Mobile app isn’t terribly fast or seamless—could stand to be improved
