Pros:

  • Dashboard is easy to use and navigate
  • Strong social listening component so you can know what people are saying about your nonprofit
  • Great customer service

Cons:

  • For smaller, growing nonprofits it’s a bit pricey
  • Metrics aren’t necessarily reliable – when pulling from Facebook or Twitter directly the data does not always match up to what sprout reports
  • Sentiment analysis needs improvement (i.e. sometimes the software can’t detect sarcasm)
  • Unless you purchase additional “seats,” more than one user can’t be in the platform at a time
