Your Hollywood Story

Hollywood stories work because they invite people to see themselves as part of something larger—to understand what’s at stake, where they fit, and how their actions matter. Let’s harness that narrative power to help your organization align internally, cut through the noise, and move audiences to engage, participate, and take action.

What We’ll Do

We’ll work together to create the story that differentiates your nonprofit’s work and resonates with your audiences through:

Story, Context, and Perception Deep Dive

A focused exploration of existing communications, marketing materials, and stakeholder perspectives to understand the deeper story at play from the people who know your organization inside and out.

A Shared Narrative That Aligns Priorities and Direction

A clearly defined story that reflects the organization’s purpose, stakes, and trajectory, giving teams a common frame of reference.

Strategic Story Assets That Define the Journey

Goals, audience avatars, mission and vision language, taglines, loglines, and calls to action—developed as a cohesive narrative that clarifies what’s at stake, who the heroes are, and what action moves the story forward.

Strategic Direction for Activating Heroes Across Channels

An actionable plan to apply your core story to invite your ideal audiences to step into action—creating empathy, framing for resonance, and delivering calls to action across channels.

BrandingandPositioning

Story-First Nonprofit Campaigns

Fundraising, volunteer drives, and client engagement campaigns work best when they’re grounded in stories that create focus, emotional momentum, and a clear reason for people to engage. Especially in moments when stakes are high and attention matters most.

Story-first campaigns turn your goals into strategic action by giving audiences a role to play and the confidence to step up and become a hero.

What You’ll Get

A Clear Narrative for a Specific Moment

A focused story built around a defined goal, audience, and point in time, so your campaign feels intentional, relevant, and rises above the noise to garner the attention it deserves.

Stories That Activate Inner Heroes

Narrative framing that invites audiences to step into meaningful roles, making participation feel personal, not transactional.

Clear Journeys from Attention to Action

A cohesive story expressed across channels including email, social media, ads, and direct marketing—with calls to action that flow naturally and make it easy for people to act in the moment.

Testimonials

I would highly recommend dotOrgStrategy for any website redesign needs! It's impossible to find a web designer who takes deadlines seriously! dotOrgStrategy was efficient, responsive and attentive not just to our deadlines but to the design and aesthetic of our branding. Boris and his team clearly cared about the project and was enthusiastic about our reaching our goals. We cannot recommend dotOrgStrategy enough!

Our website focuses on Jewish music, a very niche but culturally impactful genre of music. We were looking for new ways to engage our audience within the limitations of our website. dotOrgStrategy created an AI quiz generator app for us, and the results are outstanding. The app is very intuitive and easy to use, allowing customizations to further fit our needs. Above all, it creates full-featured quizzes for our readers that easily integrate into our pages, matching our styles and accomplishing our goals.

Music Mends Minds is a nonprofit organization that creates free music engagement and therapy groups for seniors, many of whom have Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative illnesses and challenges, and their caregivers and loved ones. This means we are constantly communicating with our constituency with messages of inspiration, encouragement, research information and advocacy. Though we had no doubt that AI could help us manage this load better, we had no idea how to start. And we also had a real fear that we'd lose in quality and personalization what we'd gain in efficiency and speed. We knew AI might make us seem smarter, but not actually better. Boris immediately understood where we were coming from. While we very much want to streamline and manage our entire communications output, we needed to ensure each email, presentation and organizational effort remained personal, unique and organic to our process and our audience, not canned from a chat box. His knowledge of the playing field is tremendous, as expected, but his understanding, sympathy and determination to teach at the level we need, to make AI work on our terms, and to help us keep our communications uniquely ours, is what makes him the perfect tutor, or guru if you will, for our initial and inevitable foray into AI. We no longer fear losing our voice; indeed we are excited to see how much better we sound the more we know and can use the AI tools he is teaching us.

The total review of the homepage was VERY helpful, easy to understand. positive. And the changes suggested are easily implemented not like some feedback when it would take a team of 10 to do. I think sometimes because we have a lean staff that our homepage/website is overlooked because we’re busy focused on the immediate needs (and gratification) and actions that social media gives us.

I wanted some broad feedback on how effective our website was, and was hoping for some ideas we could implement to improve it quickly. I got both! Our nonprofit has much to improve about our communications overall and our website specifically. I really appreciate Boris’ knowledge and suggestions. He gave me some bigger picture things to think about with my team as well as some quick fixes that I think will help improve our storytelling right away. Thank you!

Boris had some fantastic insights into how we could better tell the story of our organisation through our heroes and villains, making sure the homepage is clear in telling the user who we are, also varying the CTA buttons so they don’t all say ‘learn more’.

Boris' Nonprofit Homepage to HeroPage Transformation helped me identify both strong and weak points in our website's approach to storytelling and user experience that we had not thought of before. It changed the way I look at our site, seeing it through the user's journey rather than through an organizational PR lens. Boris identified even more areas for improvement on our one-hour strategy call, offering specific solutions that can improve user experience and drive engagement.

As a result of dotOrgStrategy's solutions, we feel more confident and equipped to tell our organization's story effectively. I have already shared with some colleagues of using this service. I will continue to do so. I was amazed to get the report card, the video about the report card, and then a live-chat that could be recorded as part of the same pricing! Truly, an eye-opener and phenomenal knowledge and expertise.

Everyone who sees it loves our new website—especially our Board. And we love how easy it is to update and add things on our own on this platform! We recently got a grant from a foundation that called us and said, "we checked out your website and love what you do. We have some extra funds this year and have decided to give you a grant."
